Summary Automation Engineer uses technology to oversee, manage and improve the manufacturing process across Meadow Burke and Thermomass. The aim of this position is to streamline the manufacturing process to make it as efficient as possible while still maintaining product quality and adhering to internal protocols and external regulations. Job Responsibilities Work with the Team to help specify, purchase, and install equipmentResponsible to assist with specifying corporate standard equipment. Work with the plants to identify capital improvement opportunities and develop justificationAssist Manufacturing Engineers in developing cost estimates for automation and controls necessary for new equipment, work cells, and workstationsOversee and manage projects related to the automation processCommunicate project status to team members and executive managementDesign new automation equipment or processesTest and simulate proposed processes or equipment to ensure they function as desiredWork with manufacturing teams to develop appropriate RFQ packages and MRO components to standardize hardware (robots, PLC??s, network protocols, sensors, etc?) and minimize MRO spend.
